Story |
One last task before we call it a day. Capturing the ghost is one thing, but we also have the power to send it to the great beyond. Why do it? Because it saves us money on storage! And there are probably other positive Karmic reasons as well. But we're having a little trouble getting this guy through the pearly gates. Typically this means we need to resolve some internal conflict for our apparition.
So let's get to it! Right before you caught him, this ghost took a bite out of this restaurant's "training burger" that they use for new hires. They say he was reading some food preparation instructions as well. See what you can find. |
Description |
Players are given some hamburger components, toothpicks, an instruction sheet, and a brad. To solve at home, cut out the hamburger pieces after printing. Precision is not important.

Use the location you solved the puzzle (the puzzle name) to link the solve word to the burger part (listed below). The order of the layers is based on the old McDonald's jingle. In fact that abandoned restaurant used to be a McDonald's, I believe. Here is the order and pairing for the layers. Remember you put the burger patty down first (on top of the bottom bun) and build up. Ground: 2 all beef patties. 1000 Islands: special sauce. Iceberg: lettuce. American: cheese. Dill: pickles. White: onions. Sesame: on a sesame seed bun. ---- Hint 5: Unlocks at 20 minutes. Select to view hint text: ---- You will notice one letter is missing from each layer. In order (from bottom up) they will spell a word. ---- Hint 6: Unlocks at 25 minutes. Select to view hint text: ---- Poking toothpicks through the burger at the indicated spaces will give you the message: SPINWIDDERSHINS (reading down the burger). You can google that if you don't know the meaning. ---- Hint 7: Unlocks at 30 minutes. Select to view hint text: ---- The instructions say to apply the message from the bite marks to itself, which suggests converting the N from that message to 14. ---- Hint 8: Unlocks at 35 minutes. Select to view hint text: ---- For the layer that gave you the N in numeric, spin the layer 14 units counterclockwise. The grill marks on the bottom layer will help you spin accurately. Do this for each layer and re insert toothpicks. ---- |
